WHAT IS COMPOUNDING:

A BRIEF HISTORY

Back in the 1800’s and early 1900’s commercial manufacturing of medications was virtually unheard of; a prescription order had to be compounded by a "druggist"  (pharmacist). The practice of compounding medicinal substances has been around since the ancient Egyptian civilization. Early American apothecaries would take written recipes (prescriptions) for unique medications based on a doctor’s knowledge and needs to treat their patients.  A pharmacist would then make the medication using their knowledge of the raw ingredients and techniques required to make those recipes. Compounding of medication orders is not new; it is a time-honored tradition of supplying a very specific medication to our very unique patients.

BIO-INDENTICAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY (BHRT)

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION (ED)

Erectile dysfunction (ED) can affect our mood and our relationships for both men and women.  Whether due to age, cancer, or injury, ED can generally be treated.  Even though oral sildenafil and tadalafil work well, sometimes our bodies and brain lack the necessary functions to be able to generate arrousal.   Remember, you are not alone! Our compounding pharmacists can work with your urologist to make injectable alprostadil (PGE 1) or Tri-Mix formulations to help with your situation.

STERILE COMPOUNDING

What are Bio-identical Hormones?

Bio-identical Hormones or "natural" hormones are plant based hormones identical to the hormones we make in our bodies. As we age, our body's  hormones (Estrogens, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, Cortisol) are altered.   Our compounding pharmacists work with you and your practitioners to supplement your body with natural BHRT.

Everyone is unique and responds differently to therapy. We work closely with our patients and their providers to provide diverse treatment options for each and every patient.

Healthy Couple

Whether you need a sterile compound for yourself, your child, or your pets, our compounding pharmacists will work with your practitioner to make a prescription compound tailored specifically for you and your loved ones. Sometimes the sterile product you need isn't available or doesn't come in the strength you need, or has a ingredient in it that you're allergic to. Our compounding pharmacists are highly trained to safely make sterile compounds specifically for you.

We make sterile:

Eye drops (Atropine, Cyclosporine etc.)

Injections (Tri-mix, Methyl B-12 etc.)

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Whether you're working or playing, living in Wyoming can be hard on our bodies. From working out on oil rigs to hiking, hunting or fishing, to playing sports or exercising in the great outdoors, getting injured is a part of life in the west.

Not every injury calls for oral opioids or NSAIDs to provide pain relief. Sometimes, the best option is a topical formulation applied directly to the area injured.  This helps avoid some of those unwanted side effects, such as drowsiness or nausea.  Our compounding pharmacists can create unique formulas designed to help you.

Whether you have dogs, cats, birds, rats, ferrets or livestock we all love our pets and do anything we can for them. Sometimes our pets medication doesn't come in the dose they need. Sometimes the medication our pets need isn't available. Sometimes our pets don't like taking pills or don't like the taste of the medicine. Whatever it is, our compounding pharmacists can work with your veterinarian to get your pets the medications they need.

We can make your pet:
