Not EVERYONE is the same. Some people require:

-A medication which has been discontinued by its manufacturer

-A dose which cannot be achieved using commercial strengths

-May require a drug free from an inactive ingredient which may cause an allergic reaction or adverse effect

-May wish to have a different flavor

-May need a special dosage form that does not exist commercially.

 

COMPOUNDING is providing a unique medication, for a unique situation, for a unique patient based on a prescription from their doctor. Providing a compounded medication may be the only option for patients to get the right medication for their specific health conditions.
